You can only earn money in the hours you have available to work. And yes, you can raise your prices so your earning potential can increase. But it can only go so far. 

 

And the more you want to earn, the more you HAVE to work: which means later nights, earlier mornings, trying to pack more things into each hour, more clients, more projects, quicker deadlines. It’s a recipe for business burnout.

 

You’re busy all the time. You have a capped income. And if you don’t put in the time, there’s no money coming in, which means no holidays and higher stress. You wish you could get off the proverbial hamster wheel! 

 

And suddenly you realize your small business dream is starting to look just like the corporate nightmare you left behind because (without meaning to) you’ve created what we call an “ugly business.”

 

 

Don’t worry, there’s a solution to running an Ugly Business. And it starts with adopting a better money-making strategy. A strategy that is way better than trading time for money.

 

In the world of entrepreneurship, “Mailbox Money” is that better way! It’s where you do something once upfront and then you receive recurring payments for months and years after that. You don’t have to be present to be paid. 

 

It can look like a lot of different things, but some examples are: selling courses on your website, earning money from affiliate marketing, and creating revenue from content you’ve created on social platforms.

 

Remember it doesn’t have to be one or the other. It’s not that trading time for money is evil. But when you are only trading time for money, your options are very limited.  When you create opportunities to make mailbox money, you give yourself CHOICES about if and where you want to trade time for money.

 

Maybe there is something that you are good at, that you love so much, that even though you could give it up, you’d rather not. That way you can carry on doing it and loving it, and never lose your spark for it because it’s something you “get to do” rather than something you “have to do.”

 

 

 

Step 1 of making mailbox money as an entrepreneur is to start asking questions.

 

Find out what opportunities are out there in your sphere. Think about what you’re good at, and what kind of things could earn you mailbox money. 

 

You’ll probably be surprised at how many options you have. And how simple it is. And you’ll be racking your brain trying to figure out why everyone else isn’t doing this too. 

 

Whether you want to add a digital product to your website to supplement your income or work your way out of interacting with clients altogether - you have tons of options. It requires some research and effort upfront, but it is so worth it if it can take you off the hamster wheel and get you back on track with your sexy business dream.
